Should I practice yoga when I’m menstruating?

Yoga is excellent for relieving pre-menstrual stress, fluctuating moods and period pain.  There are specific postures that encourage hormone balance, regulate blood flow, ease any physical discomfort and soothe the emotions so your moon-time becomes more manageable. There are also certain postures to avoid, so it is important to tell your teacher before class begins. They can then adjust your practice, discreetly, to keep you safe and comfortable.
