Kids Yoga
Yoga comes naturally to children.
It is a way of playing, moving and breathing that they inhabit easily and helps them sustain the natural flexibility and joy in their bodies with which they were born. The classes are both playful and light, dynamic and fun. Storytelling, imaginative role play and visualisations are all interwoven in such a way that the children are engaged, giving free rein to their imagination and having fun whilst exploring their bodies through the asanas (postures) and pranayama (simple breathing exercises).
The nature and pace of the class matches their shorter attention span as well as their need for movement and the expression of different moods. Moving in and out of animals and imagery, helps children feel comfortable, increases their muscular co-ordination, maintains their flexibility and good health, improves their concentration and helps them experience the space of happy body, calm mind and open heart.
Classes are divided into two levels:
1. Kids 1 – for those aged between 3 – 6 years
2. Kids 2 – for those aged between 6 – 10 years
